TESTIMONIALS

“As a beginner in wildlife photography, I wanted personal attention on a two day tour. After research I selected Jonathan at Salva Fauna due to the quality of recommendation and reviews and the art of Jonathan's photography. I was delighted with the result and amazed by the skill and knowledge that Jonathan has. His field craft ensured I was presented with the best possible opportunity to get pictures and experience amazing wildlife encounters. I learned more than I could ever have imagined and came back with an incredible set of photographs. I can not recommend Salva Fauna highly enough.”

ITINERARY

Day 1 \  Meeting at Neuchâtel train station around midday (exact meeting hour depends on the season), we will first head to the ASPO BirdLife La Sauge Nature Center in Cudrefin. We will take a few hours to discover both Réserve de Cudrefin and Réserve du Fanel where many bird species can be seen.
After that, we will drive to Creux du Van to watch and photograph the herd of wild Alpine Ibex for the rest of the day. Creux du Van is probably the most incredible place to see these magnificent animals. Even though we can never guarantee sightings, the chances to see them there are pretty high. Creux du Van is also an amazing place for birds. We can potentially spot the Common Kestrel, the Common Raven, or even the Wallcreeper among many other beautiful species. Finally, the place is so breathtaking that you will hardly resist doing some landscape photography.
Diner and lodging will take place at the Ferme Restaurant Le Soliat, offering us a beautiful setting and an unbeatable location. If you are interested, we will spend time reviewing your images as well.

Day 2 \ Waking up early, we will start the day before sunrise looking for the Alpine Ibex. Sunrise at Creux du Van is always a memorable moment. Later in the morning, we will head to Pro Natura Centre Champ-Pittet. We will have an early lunch at the Café-Restaurant Champ-Pittet and then spend a few hours watching and photographing birds in the Grande Cariçaie. Finally, we will head back to Neuchâtel train station where the workshop will end at the end of the afternoon.
